April 13, 2013Here we are, folks! The 2013 edition of the Godzilla Final Four ended as quickly as it began. This particular list was a little bit difficult, but not too terribly difficult either. These movies I have viewed more than once (with the exception of one) in the past year and I found to be the most entertaining films in the past year. Without further adieu, let’s wrap it up!
4. Mothra Vs. Godzilla: Normally this would be in the top two, but two other Godzilla films surpassed the grandeur that is Mothra Vs. Godzilla. To me, this film is just about as perfect as you can get in the franchise.
The characters are interesting and the daikaiju action, while brief, is packed with enough action that you are still left satisfied. Mothra Vs. Godzilla has been in my top five for years and, honestly, I don’t ever see that changing. Of course, perhaps, in future Final Fours, it may drop for various reasons, but we’ll cross those bridges if we get to them.
For me, Mothra Vs. Godzilla is one of the best examples of classic Godzilla films!
