While browsing for some news for the fifth episode of PXCR, I stumbled upon some good piece of news from Sci-Fi Japan, even though that this piece of news was made on the 7th of April. Man, wished I could’ve spotted this much sooner! Damn drinking habits!…
Anywho, Toho has been getting into the Blu-Ray business and releasing its classic giant monster films onto the format. As Sci-Fi Japan points out, Toho’s Blu-Ray quality is much finer and better than Classic Media’s release of Gojira onto Blu-Ray. However, though, these Blu-Rays don’t have English subtitles, which kind of sucks but you would think they would do that since their Blu-Ray region coding is the same as the US.
It’s quite tempting to grab these Blu-Ray movies and watch them on my nice, 32″ HDTV.
These Blu-Ray films are being sold at Amazon with a Price of ￥4800, which is $51 in the US, so still kind of expensive. But if you want to get these nonetheless, be my guest.
