26. Godzilla Vs. Mothra II: I did watch this film late Spring 2012 and was able to enjoy some of the nostalgic value I got from my viewing. I found myself appreciating some of the characters and parts of the story I hadn’t before.
But that doesn’t mean the film is top-notch. The characters are still fairly boring and the actors portraying them, most of them anyways, are bad. Some of the attempts at humor are ridiculous and some of the effects work is shoddy in some areas. Of course, this was a family film and it attempted to appeal to a wider audience. As a result, it didn’t do so well in my book despite the box office saying otherwise.
This is one movie I hope to enjoy more with time.

Kent is a lifelong fan of Godzilla, kaiju, and other weird creatures. His love of Godzilla was initially stemmed from his love of dinosaurs.
