25. Godzilla Vs. Gigan: Another movie I didn’t watch in the last year. It’s funny, because this was one of my favorite Godzilla films when I was younger.
I believe part of the reason why I haven’t viewed the film as often as I’ve gotten older is due to the fact we don’t get to the big daikaiju action until the end and, before that, we get brief snippets of the kaiju we love so very much.
The characters are goofy and quirky enough to gain my attention throughout, but some of their antics are ridiculous as well as some of their lines. The pacing of the story is a bit off-kilter and it seems like the movie is unsure of what it really wants to present.
Despite its placing, Godzilla Vs. Gigan has one of the better final battles in the franchise!
