19. Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack: GMK was a movie I felt was over-hyped. I still do, but not as much as I once did.
When I had my Godzilla revival in late 2011, not only did I watch a bunch of G-films, I ended up liking a number of movies that I was always meh about (Godzilla X Megaguirus and Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah). GMK also saw a bump in my list. Of course, I always did find this movie to be more entertaining then the two aforementioned films.
The destruction scenes are fun and the battles, while not the best in the series, are still fairly cool. But the characters and adding a mythological approach to the story still don’t hit with me like they do with other fans. The characters, however, I think are the worst part of this movie. Some of the acting is poorly done and the characters seem to be too one-dimensional.
