Initial Reactions to “Godzilla”

ComicBookMovie.com posted a handful of tweets of those fortunate souls who were able to see Godzilla several weeks before its actual release date.

Fortunately, the reviews are very positive. The viewers cite how beautiful the film looks and how the material was handled as a whole. One person even said the film was fantastic.

However, as other news has come in stating that Godzilla’s full reveal won’t come until much later in the movie, some of the viewers wonder how fans will react to the slow reveal. One person even said fans could become restless.

This has me a bit concerned only because the past couple of weeks, despite positive buzz, a decent portion of the fandom is becoming negative about particular aspects of the film for some strange reason. Many are starting to criticize certain aspects of the new Godzilla design.

I have high hopes for the film and believe the film will not disappoint. I honestly believe Edwards will have accomplished his goal of making Godzilla scary again while also delivering a film that provides plenty of real estate destruction and fantastic kaiju battles.

Godzilla will be released May 15 (in some locales) and May 16.
