Planet X Control Room: Episode 22

Well folks, 2010 is just about over here in the good ol’ Midwest; but, we decided that the best way to bring in 2011 is with the last PXCR Episode of 2010, and it sure is a jam-packed and LOOONNNG Episode! Nik and Ness brings the episode on a cleaner and friendlier note this time around which will continue to be that way for future PXCR episodes.

Anyways, the hosts have a couple minor updates on MCW and the progression of the new GP website. For news-related items, IMDB thinks that the Godzilla 2012 film won’t come out till 2014, however, IMDB can be an unreliable source and take it as a grain of salt. Also, we forgot to report on the upcoming Godzilla comic book series being developed by the good folks at IDW, who are well-known for awesome Transformers comics.

Next, the hosts jump into reviewing the twenty-second, and last film of the Heisei Series of the Godzilla franchise, ‘Godzilla vs. Destoroyah’. This movie kicks to much butt, the movie decided it was time to have some of the best kick-ass battles!

On this week’s segment of Dream Matches, Super X 1 takes on the GFW Atragon (aka Gotengo) while Showa Minya goes up against his clone self from the Millennium Series.

After a quick intermission, The hosts get to the Free-For-All segment! Nik talks about what giant monster films goes along very well with the holidays, and NessMasta reviews the ‘Gamera vs. Barugon’ DVD from SHOUT! Factory.

Then, the hosts discuss their Tune It Up! tracks of the week and Minya’s Tantrum! Last, but not least, we’ve added a few special segment ending 2010 where the two hosts talk about their favorite Godzilla movie endings, a future permanent segment Kaiju of the Episode and their New Year’s Resolution that’s Giant Monster-Related!
