So, I had to delete the link to our Web article on the Godzilla design and delete the picture itself due to Legendary cracking down on various social media networks and Websites displaying the picture.
We are extremely disappointed, but we, obviously, don’t want to be getting into any legal trouble due to either someone’s carelessness in releasing the photo or otherwise.
Below is what our original article stated about the Godzilla design:
While it’s not an entire body shot, we do get a partial upper body look at the King of the Monsters for next year’s Godzilla! The picture was taken by a fan in an undisclosed location.
The look appears to be similar from the shaky, partially-hidden Godzilla we all saw when a video was leaked during one walkthrough of the Godzilla Encounter during San Diego Comic Con.
The look definitely, as we all suspected, hearkens to the Toho-esque look of Godzilla. The King looks to be drawn on the photo and not so much an exact duplicate of the CGI/possible man-in-suit Godzilla we’ll see in the movie. Although that is difficult to tell without seeing the poster up close.
Nevertheless, this appearance should delight fans who have been skeptical of Godzilla’s look throughout the process. Now the question remains: Who will Godzilla battle in the film? If he’s battling classic Toho kaiju, will their appearance be similar to the Toho films?
