September 3, 2013Academy Award nominated composer, Alexandre Desplat, will score 2014’s “Godzilla.” Mr. Desplat has been nominated five times for the prestigious award for his work on such films as The Queen, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fantastic Mr. Fox, The King’s Speech, and Argo. All nominations were for Best Original Score.
Mr. Desplat did win a Golden Globe in 2007 for his work on The Painted Veil in the Best Original Score category.
Some of Mr. Desplat’s other notable film scores include Rise of the Guardians, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts 1 & 2, Twilight Saga: New Moon and Zero Dark Thirty.

Kent is a lifelong fan of Godzilla, kaiju, and other weird creatures. His love of Godzilla was initially stemmed from his love of dinosaurs. Kent thoroughly enjoys helping to put together the podcasts to share his love of this genre.
