June 23, 2013Hey fans! As I’ve stated on our Facebook page (if you’re following us there) that we were making changes to Planet X Control Room starting this weekend. Well, upgrading the site template was one of those changes that we needed, especially moving forward and trying to get our name out there.
The few biggest features on version 2 of our template is that 1). We now have ad placements and are now able to generate one stream of revenue than just relying on our store. 2). Not only the site’s viewing compatibility is just through the desktop and laptop, but we’re now compatible for both tablet and mobile devices. 3). We now have more space in the top navigation bar to add more content on it, and also is automatically fixed to the top of the browser viewer at a certain area when you scroll down the site – so whenever you need access to the top navbar, you can get to it instantly. And 4). The time-stamp format is now corrected the right way, showing the date when a post was created instead of showing how many hours/days when the post was created.

The unfortunate feature that had to be cut of this time around was the IGN-style video pages, which was hardly being used by us since we haven’t been doing any video content, but we will eventually down the road though as we’re making changes and put the PXCR brand out there. We plan on just using YouTube more and directing more of our video content through it.
Another way to drive listeners, fans and daikaiju otaku to our website is having a Fan Zone section on our site. So far we only have the Gallery page for it, but we’ll eventually add more content to our Fan Zone section, such as downloadable content, video, exclusives, etc.
Not only we’ve updated just the website, but we’ve also have updated the primary color, primary font and social media appearance. We’re also be updating the podcast cover and slightly tweaking some podcast segments.
We certainly hope that you’ll enjoy the new and improved Planet X Control Room website as we’re excited and looking forward to our future. Too, spread the word about us to your friends and help us grow to become the central hub of all things daikaiju!
